We are looking for an experienced and passionate Boarding Gap Year Assistant to join our team.
About the Position
We are looking for someone who has:
- An ability to assist the teaching, administrative staff and boarding staff in ensuring that the children receive care and stimulation, to motivate and encourage them in their daily lives.
- Help with evening activities and being on duty from 6pm - 10pm (allocated to both houses as needed)
- Be flexible in all they do and should be able to work in a team, supporting the boarding staff as directed.
- Assist with the health and wellbeing and cleanliness of the pupils and the cleanliness and condition of their clothing.
And someone who has:
- Experience in communications with parents across methods including online
- Experience across primary schools as Matron.
- High levels of empathy with the ability to provide emotional support and pastoral care to boarding students and adapt and tailor approaches to individual pupils.
- Maintain confidentiality where necessary with ability to work as part of a team, proactive and ability to act on own initiative.
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate/Qualification is advantageous
