Trinity History Lesson for Prep 5

Prep 5 welcomed a visitor to their Religious Studies lesson in the Senior Department as they learnt about the history of Trinity School and its predecessors.
Trinity’s Senior Department Librarian and former Convent of Notre Dame pupil Paula Knapman joined the class to answer questions as pupils learnt about the school’s history, its time as a convent school and how school life has changed over the years.
Pupils enjoyed learning about the former uses of various rooms and when each section of the school was built. Finally they asked many insightful questions about school life in the convent days and compared this to their experiences of school now. These questions included “What subjects were studied?”, “What were the punishments?” and of course most importantly, “Did you have fish and chips for lunch on a Friday?”
