Prep Department Return to School!

It is with delight that today we welcomed back Years 4 and 2 which means that all year groups in the Prep Department are now back in school.

This has been by no means easy and has meant a lot of hard work, careful planning and adaptations made to the school day. Staff have really gone the extra mile to enable this to happen while all pupils have taken on board the changes and recognise the importance of the safety measures put in place.

The benefits of being an all-through school on a beautiful site with many different facilities and open spaces has made accommodating all of the Prep Department possible. The lessening of restrictions to allow primary aged pupils to return if they could be accommodated saw the school’s management team and all staff work quickly to prepare for the return to school with the school community’s safety as the priority.

However we are reminded that, although it has been great seeing Year 10 and 12 in school, restrictions have not allowed the rest of the Senior Department to return to school as of yet. Nevertheless our remote learning programme continues to go from strength to strength and plans are in place to make the last few weeks of the year very engaging for those still at home.
