Prep 6 Experience Life in the Senior Department

Prep 6 spent a day experiencing secondary school life in the Senior Department before half term.
The pupils had the chance to experience the lessons, experiences and routines that they can look forward to next year.
The day started with a Humanities and Geography lesson with Mr Martin followed by Psychology with Mrs Bryant. This gave the pupils an idea of both their studies next year as well as opportunities that are possible further into their senior school lives.
Pupils then took part in a Personal Development and Wellbeing Lesson with Mr Acher before lunch with the Seniors. In the afternoon pupils experienced an Art lesson where they looked at Op Art and the work of artist Victor Vasarely. The lesson explored positive and negative shapes through the creation of black and white ‘Notan squares’, and Mrs Firth was very impressed with the outstanding standard of work, which will be displayed in the corridor outside Chapel. Prep 6 then also enjoyed a a Design Technology lesson with Mr Turnbull.
Well done to Prep 6 who showed a commitment to learn about what Senior life has in store for them, and thank you to our Sixth Form and Key Stage 3 helpers for the day.
