New Year New You! Welcome to 2018

Many people say this and make new resolutions but do we really think about the meaning of life and what we value?  Year 11 and 6^th form students are being given the chance to reflect on life’s puzzling questions in our new Philosophy club.  Using films we explore concepts such as what is truth?, how we know what is real and what we value.  We have started by exploring the philosophical themes in the film the Matrix.  This week we discussed the philosophy of Descartes, Socrates and Aristotle on the nature of life and reality.
