EES - The Final Chapters

This week has seen the submission of the Engineering Education Scheme report from the Trinity Team, the culmination of all the hard work undertaken since the project began.

It has been a long journey since the team first met with their host Company Rittal for a team building day at HMS Raleigh in October 2019. It was also here they were given their brief; to design a new locking door mechanism for a computer server.

The team would like to give a huge thank you to Neil Wylie and Rittal for the company’s continued support throughout; their generous giving of advice, machining, time and mentoring.

The report is complete with over 40 pages of a detailed ‘engineers report’ outlining the possible solutions.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation the prize giving and award day, scheduled next week at Dartmoor Zoo, has been cancelled. We hope to have a virtual award day with the Educational Development Trust before the end of term. Each team member now qualifies for the Gold Cadet Award (equivalent to the Gold DofE award).
