Cadets Join the Commonwealth War Graves Poppy Blessing at Teignmouth Cemetery
12th November 2018
In the build up to Remembrance Day, Trinity cadets attended a Poppy Remembrance Service for the 49 Commonwealth War Graves at Teignmouth Cemetery.
At the request of the Chair of the Teignmouth Civic Remembrance Committee Mr Brian Hall MBE, cadets and staff attended a Poppy Blessing Service conducted by Jamie Redfern at 11.00am on Saturday 3rd November at Higher Buckeridge Road Cemetery.
The service honoured the 49 CWGC graves which have been uncovered and lovingly tended by the Friends of Teignmouth Cemetery.
Cadets took the crosses that had been blessed and planted them on each grave, often in the company of relatives. The Mayor of Teignmouth Councillor June Green and Steve Stewart, Regional Manager SW of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, thanked Trinity School CCF for their support.
