Year 8 Pupils Enjoy Great Adventure Weekend Away At Widemouth Bay.
A group of pupils from Year 8, 5 boys and 5 girls, had a fantastic weekend away in North Cornwall experiencing a range of outdoor activities. They stayed at the Outdoor Adventure UK centre in the stunning cliff top location to the west of Widemouth Bay where they enjoyed the superb views, good food and social time together. The pupils (and staff!!) were also challenged to abseil down a nearby 80 foot cliff, kayak along the Bude canal and perform several stunts and games, ride the waves with the ever popular surfing and climb over rocks and squeeze through holes whilst coastal traversing. This year the weather was also fantastic and a great time was had by all. Mrs Sinden, who organised the trip and Mr Donaldson, the Year 8 Form Tutor, were not only impressed with the enthusiatic approach and endeavour shown in all the different activities, but also the way the pupils behaved and enjoyed spending time together. The pupils view – it was ‘fun, fun, fun!’ and ‘it was the best weekend ever!’
