Trinity swimmers look forward to national ISA swimming championships at London’s Olympic Pool
9th January 2015
The excitement is beginning to mount as no fewer than 18 Trinity students prepare to swim for the South West of England in the national swimming finals organised by the Independent Schools Association. Scheduled for Saturday 24 January 2015, this is always an eagerly anticipated annual occasion, given Trinity’s solid heritage in the sport. This year’s competition is an especially thrilling prospect for our young people as it is to take place at the ‘London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London,’ a.k.a. The 2012 Olympic Swimming Pool.
It is also a proud occasion for Trinity as we are sending such as large contingent, with our 18 students accounting for almost a quarter of the total South West team, a significant representation for a school of such modest size as ours. It follows the Trinity squad's very successful performance at the South Regional finals last month, when the whole team swam incredibly well, resulting in an amazing outcome of 11 first places in individual events.
We wish the best of luck to our swimmers, and indeed the whole of the South West team as they train for their big weekend of competition in such a prestigious venue.
