Trinity Chamber Choir join in with Queen’s Birthday Celebrations!
4th May 2016
On Tuesday this week the Chamber Choir were invited to the Alice Cross Centre in Teignmouth to help guests at a special lunch celebrate the 90th birthday of the Queen.
They sang favourites such as Land of Hope and Glory, I Vow To Thee My Country, Jerusalem and of course the National Anthem. They sang beautifully and finished their performance with a foot stomping rendition of Rhythm of Life. Mr Birt led the choir with great energy and flair and had the guests enthusiastically singing along. The choir was accompanied by Mrs Arkell on piano.
The event was a great success and the staff of the Alice Cross Centre were hugely grateful for Trinity’s involvement in their special event. Thank you to Mr Birt and Mrs Arkell and of course the Chamber Choir for putting on such an impressive and moving performance. Revd Jonathon who also attended commented , “There are those wonderful moments in school life when I am able to stand back and simply watch and I have to say that at the Alice Cross Centre I was brimming with pride because the pupils and Mr Birt and Mrs Arkell were just brilliant.”
