The Trinity community gathers to remember
12th November 2015
Trinity School’s Act of Remembrance
On Thursday 11th November shortly before 11am the Senior School, Prep 5 & 6, staff, parents and governors gathered together outside the White House to remember the men and women who have died in war and conflict.
There were prayers, readings, a minute’s silence and everyone was invited during the service to come forward to lay their own poppy at the foot of the Cross as a way of honouring the fallen. Wreaths were also laid on behalf of the CCF and Trinity School. Revd Jonathon who led the service commented “There was a very real sense of togetherness and purpose as we formed together as a school to remember those who have died in the service of their country and I am very grateful to those pupils and staff who contributed to what was a moving and reflective Act of Remembrance.”
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old, age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them” Laurence Binyon
