Rework return victorious from Young Enterprise county competition

4th May 2016

Yesterday evening the budding entrepreneurs of the 6th Form Young Enterprise team ‘Rework’ returned triumphant from the Devon and Somerset final, which was held at the Met Office HQ in Exeter.

The team were chosen as Overall Winners by a panel of experienced judges, and they also carried off the award for the Best Company Report. As Rework’s Managing Director, Alex Horswill, explained, the team are absolutely delighted with the win.  ‘It was a fantastic day for the Rework team and it was very helpful in showing us a little more of what the real business world can be like. Arriving at the Met Office we realised we were facing tough competition,  with teams from Torquay Girls Grammar, Exeter School and Taunton School all keen to showcase some high quality products,’ said Alex.

The team of Rework all pulled together extremely well as they faced constant questioning from the judges, however with honest, thoughtful and precise answers, topped with an excellent presentation at the end, Rework came way as overall winners of the competition.

Their main focus now is about taking the feedback from the judges, and putting it into practice as they prepare for the Regional final in Poole. ‘Right now our business is in the right place and things are looking bright for the Rework brand’ added Alex.

Congratulations to the Rework team and good luck in the next round!
