Congratulations to Resi Heil! Her impressionist paintings of penguins and seabirds are now on show at the Living Coasts attraction in Torquay.  It is the first ever public display of her work, which was created as part of her ‘A’ level examination.

Our Head of Art, Mr Patrick Cairns, was so impressed with her work that he thought it deserved a wider audience. ‘So many people were remarking on the paintings. I know Living Coasts well, and got in touch with them as I knew Resi’s paintings would look great there.’

Resi, who comes from near Frankfurt in Germany, has now completed her studies at Trinity, and has been accepted on to a course at the prestigious Miami Ad School in Hamburg. ‘Resi’s work was always highly experimental. She loved exploring new materials, techniques and processes, so at this point in her life she does not have a particular style of her own. She was actually studying publicity materials for Living Coasts when she actually embarked upon the paintings,’ Mr Cairns added.
