Passion for Technology clear to see at Year 5 Impact Day
11th February 2019
Last week saw Year 5 pupils from Trinity Prep and local primary schools take part in the Technology Faculty Impact Day, with activities focused around Safer Internet Day and Chinese New Year.
Pupils experienced secondary school life in a variety of different subjects and activities, which included learning about the safe use of the internet in Maths and IT for Safer Internet Day, and cooking some Chinese food in Food Technology and learning to speak and write some basic Chinese with Sixth Form pupils for Chinese New Year.
Other activities included designing a green race car and creating a game using the laser cutter in Design and Technology, and designing and making a Mondrian inspired cube in the Senior Department Art and Design studio.
The day was well received by everyone who attended, and parents were able to enjoy some of the work produced at the end of the day. Staff and pupils who helped praised the energy and enthusiasm of all the Year 5 pupils. Well done to all pupils who attended and showed off their passion for technology!
