National Hockey Champions - Ben and Eddie
20th June 2018
Trinitonians Ben and Eddie excelled on the weekend as they lifted an U13 National Hockey tournament in Nottingham in a team representing the South West.
Benjamin Coen in Year 8 and Eddie Whalley in Year 7 both played key parts for their team on their course to lifting the title. The boys were representing the West region (from Bath to Penzance) in an under 13 tournament facing other regions and countries (Wales and Scotland).
They beat Wales in the final, making this the first time the West region has won the title in several years. As Eddie is only Year 7 currently, he will get another chance to taste success at the tournament next year.
Both were commended for their performances with some great hockey at a high standard on show. They were thoroughly exhausted after a long weekend of games in Nottingham, with matches taking place from Friday through to Sunday.
Everyone in the Trinity community are really proud of their resilence, effort and they flew the flag very well for Trinity School.
