We would like to congratulate Lucianna Kaye of Year 10, who took part in the Open Mic (UK) talent singing competition in Exeter on Saturday and has been given a place in the Regional Finals. These will be held in front of judges from the music industry, national radio, regional press, BBC, and record labels. Playing guitar, she impressed judges with her performances of two songs which she had written herself.

Open Mic UK is a national singing competition for singers and solo artists in the UK. The competition attracts over 9,000 acts every year as it travels across the country in search for the UK's best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. Acts can perform either covers or original material and it's open to all genres, including pop, RnB, acoustic or classical.

We wish Lucianna the best of luck in the next stages of the competition.
