Large Trinity team at South West ISA Athletics at Exeter Arena

25th May 2016

Trinity was very well represented as 30 pupils from Senior Department and 32 pupils from Prep went to Exeter Arena to compete in the South West ISA athletics event.

Every single pupil preformed to the best of their ability and should be proud of their efforts and behaviour on the day. There were some outstanding performances from, yet again, Lukene Elorriaga (above) who easily won her 800m race, getting a personal best of 2.43 minutes; Ben Clark and Benjamin Perryman for first and second place in the 1500m; Ben White and Niall Perryman for coming first and second in the 800m; and Jacob Evans who easily won his 200m sprint and performed very well in high jump.

Grace Williams won the U11 girls High Jump with a new personal best of 1.20m. Freya Sheppard won the U11 girls shot putt with a throw of over 6m and Benjamin Coen, Phoebe Armes and George Tapley all won their respective ball throw competitions. These 12 athletes will be going up to represent the South West at the ISA National Athletics finals next month, but it was a great day out for the whole team.
