Falmouth Art exhibition inspires students
19th November 2014
GCSE and BTEC Art & Design groups visited the Falmouth BA (Hons) Degree Drawing Exhibition in Totnes. It was an excellent opportunity to study a wide range of drawing applications, techniques and styles from students and staff on the BA (Hons) degree course at Falmouth. This year’s exhibition was by far the best that has been presented.
The Art department at Trinity has established a very good relationship with the Foundation course that runs at Totnes, now regarded as one of the best in the country. In turn the course at Totnes has very strong links with Falmouth which is also regarded as one of the top Art courses in the UK.
Trinity has provided a number of students over the years. Shane Haarer, was snapped up by Hallmark cards after completing his course. Alex Papinicola finished his degree course to be offered a place lecturing on the same course that he had just studied. After completing her Foundation course Sandra Adamceck is now studying architecture at Kingston, and according to the course leader, Sandra was regarded as one of the most outstanding students to have attended the Foundation course.
The trip was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all! Mr Cairns
