Boost for student enterprise as Darts Farm agrees to stock to Rework products

29th April 2016

A student business start-up has taken another step forward in its quest for honours in this year's Young Enterprise competition. Darts Farm have agreed to display and sell some of their designs, notably the key rings made from recycled bicycle chain.

Formed by a group of 6th Formers last September, and trading under the brand name 'Rework', the business has recently been preparing for the Young Enterprise Regional Final, which will take place at the headquarters of the Met Office in Exeter on Thursday 3 May. Teams of enterprising students from all over the county will be presenting their businesses to a team of experts in a kind of 'Dragon's Den meets the Apprentice' contest, following which the winners will progress to the South West final later next month.

Rework Managing Director, Alex Horswill, is delighted with he development. 'It is fantastic that a major local retailer will be stocking our giftware products under the same roof as big brands such as Kath Kidston, Cotswold and North Face. We are very excited about our business, which makes gifts, furniture and other items from various recycled materials, and extremely grateful to Darts Farm for giving us this opportunity to showcase our products,' said Alex.
