Bespoke High School Mash-Up Performance Highlights Talent at Trinity School
29th March 2019
This year’s performing arts production proved to be another success as pupils from across the school took part in the High School Musical inspired High School Mash-Up.
The 2018/19 school year saw Mr Crompton and Mrs Smith join us at Trinity as the new Subject Leader teachers for Music and Drama respectively, and they certainly did not disappoint with their first production.
High School Mash-Up was inspired by the music and characters from the High School Musical films but was written solely for Trinity students, making this a tailored production that makes the most of the cast’s strengths. All three performances enjoyed sell-out crowds as this was eagerly anticipated following on from last term’s Performing Arts Evening.
The cast ranged from pupils in Prep 4 right up to Sixth Form, and included numbers from all three High School Musical films which spanned a variety of genres. Trinitionians were commended for their confidence as in some cases pupils really stepped out of their comfort zone to take part in a performing arts production for the first time. It was also great to be able to see the growth and development of talents from previous productions.
A big thank you goes to those who supported behind the scenes with staging and props, media, box office and backstage, and congratulations to everyone who took part and Mr Crompton and Mrs Smith for making it all possible. Good luck to the Prep Department on Monday and Wednesday as we look forward to our Pirates of the Curry Bean production.
