Assault Course Challenge for Years 10 and 11 students
16th September 2015
It was wet, it was muddy, it was slippy, it was difficult. Students found themselves well outside their normal comfort zones as they gathered in teams of 8 to represent each of the different form groups. Contestants had to negotiate a series of poles, nets, tyres, ditches and other water obstacles to complete the course, as a team, in as fast a time as possible.
Organiser of the event, Mr Robert Larkman, Head of Key Stage 4, said, ‘ it was a fantastic experience for our students. We wanted to give them an early opportunity for personal development and team-building, and it turned out to be great way to kick start the new school year. I would like to thank all students for their commitment and good humour during the exercises. The event was skilfully recorded by Year 11 student Keiran Flowers, and you can see his video on the following link: Ashcombe Trip
