Welcome to Sixth Form Information Communication Technology
In today's world, where ICT is constantly changing, you will increasingly need
technological and information literacy skills that include the ability to
gather, process and manipulate data. These skills are now as essential as the
traditional skills of numeracy and literacy.
AS Level ICT encourages you to become high level user of ICT. It allows
you to develop a broad range of ICT skills, knowledge and understanding. After this course you could progress
into further learning, including progression from AS to A2 level, followed by
university courses and/or employment.
OCR AS / A-Level in ICT
This course is a vocationally-focused A Level. Throughout the course, pupils
develop all the necessary skills required in ICT and apply these within
work-related contexts. The course also offers pupils the chance to personalise
their path of study and obtain a qualification that meets both their individual
aptitudes and interests.
