Welcome to Sixth Form Geography

The Geography department believes that the subject should be taught through direct experience of the real world as well as classroom instruction. Enthusiastic staff with a wide variety of experience ensure that the subject is brought to life and that results are outstanding.

Toipics and Aims & Curriculum

In the Sixth Form the course at Advanced Level is in two parts; the Lower Sixth study AS (AQA Specification 'A') and the Upper Sixth study A2 (AQA Specification 'A'). Geography is a popular subject in the School with two sets at GCSE level and a growing number of pupils following the subject at Advanced Level.

A Level Results

Over the last six years, 95% of results have been at A to C grade and the value-added has averaged at over half of one grade per candidate.
