Sixth Formers' Views on the Sixth Form

The Sixth Form at Trinity is unique in that each and every individual feels they are part of a 'family'. This feeling permeates throughout the Sixth Form, encouraging students to interact with other members of the group whether they be from overseas or the UK. Besides the strong teaching found at Trinity and the individual approach, Trinity Sixth Formers also benefit from a co-ordinated approach to learning. The attention paid to the work of every individual within the Sixth Form is, without a doubt, very good. Coaching in examination skills is one of the things that distinguishes the Trinity Sixth Form from others. It shows a dedication and commitment from all the staff to help everyone complete their school life successfully. University applications are also taken very seriously at Trinity and there is an excellent track record for entrance to higher education. This is assisted through excellent learning facilities such as the dedicated Sixth Form Library and computer facilities.

Academic work does not form the whole individual and, at Trinity, much emphasis has been placed on improving social facilities in the Common Room. This has created a pleasant environment for students whilst they enjoy their lunch breaks. The Common Room acts as a meeting place for many people and the international student body creates a welcome diversity.

Overall, my experiences in the Trinity Sixth Form have been very rewarding and I feel it has changed me as a person. This will undoubtedly help me in my forthcoming years at university.
