Assessment is our key to monitoring standards and ensuring that they remain high. Children’s work is marked daily and supported by encouraging comments and targets to aid improvement. In Key Stage 2, a letter ranging from A to E is given for the effort made and a mark for attainment achieved. By recognising both effort and attainment we feel that every child can achieve success.

Daily assessment is supported by NFER tests and National Curriculum tests taken in assessment week during the Summer Term. Reading ages and spelling ages are tracked throughout the year for all pupils. This ensures that any difficulties in these areas are highlighted so that they can be addressed.
