Prep Trips and Residentials

“While it is possible to learn some basic concepts in class, there is no substitute for real experience in the wider world."

Trips and Residentials

The above quote fully captures the ethos behind our School's residential trips and outdoor learning program. We enjoy taking our pupils to see hands-on the subjects they learn within the classroom. Class trips include; Pennywell Farm, Kents Caverns, Bygones and Teignmouth Museums, Powderham Castle, Dartmoor for both river and Iron Age studies, the Lifeboat station and beach in Teignmouth, Pizza Express, Morrison’s and Tesco’s, Dawlish Warren, The Devon Craft Fair and the Devon County Show. Each trip covers many facets of the curriculum and is enjoyed by staff and pupils alike.

At Trinity we also look to give pupils a chance to stay overnight within our residential program, which starts in Prep 2 who stay overnight and enjoy activities in and around the school grounds. Preps 3 & 4 have enjoyed a one night stay and outdoor activities at Heatree residential Centre, Manaton on Dartmoor. Prep 5 have been to Bosworth Battle Field and this year are staying at Slapton to enjoy Science and Geographical based activities. Prep 6 have been to see the Museums and West End Shows in London whilst staying in a hotel in Wembley and are visiting the Escot Centre to build their outdoor shelter and then sleep over, during the Summer term.
