Another record for Trinity!
Only a week after celebrating record A level results, Trinity pupils are delighted to hear that their GCSEs have also broken records. 14 Pupils obtained 5 or more at A* or A grade, top performers being Serena Gosden, Jamie Issac-Richards, Danielle Rickard and Sam Homer, all with 10 grade A*/A.
Jamie said his results were “beyond what I had ever imagined” and both Danielle and Sam said they were relieved, with Sam adding that “I didn’t expect this – it’s fantastic”. Serena said she was “really, really happy”, having struggled with glandular fever this year.
Tim Waters, the Headmaster said, “We have some real high-flyers in the School and it is great to see them come away with top class results at GCSE. More pleasing though, are the number of pupils right across the ability range who have exceeded expectations – they have done a superb job - 86 % of entries were passed at grades A*-C.”
Phil Jones, Head of KS4 was also delighted. “We have worked really hard this year to get everyone to excel. Not only has that been successful, but we have more pupils staying on to Sixth Form than ever before - we expect 62 pupils in Year 12 alone. That’s a real testament to the hard work of the staff .”
