Top “Value Added” for Trinity School
Trinity School has posted a region-beating score in the Government school performance tables published this month. The Value Added score measures whether pupils perform above or below expectation and Trinity excels according to the Government analysis.
The School’s Buckeridge International pupils obtained the highest score in Devon and one of the highest in the UK, with Trinity’s local pupils coming in just behind. The overall Value Added for the school would place it top in Devon and third in the South West.
Tim Waters, The Headmaster, says; “This confirms what our own data has been saying –we are getting pupils of all abilities to perform way above expectation. We have won three Good Schools guide awards for excellence recently and are ranked in the top 100 UK Boarding Schools by the Top Schools website. I am delighted that the DCSF is now also taking note of the exceptional work that both staff and pupils are putting in here.”
The last time that the DCSF published Value Added information for independent schools, in 2004, Trinity also topped the Devon table. As Tim says; “Being top of the pack is great. Being consistently top is even better.”
The school is currently awaiting publication of a report on their recent inspection and the Headmaster is eagerly anticipating its release. “I am looking forward to being able to share this with parents and the community. It was an exceptionally positive experience. If you want to see for yourself what makes us tick, then do come to our Open Day, which will be held on Saturday 31st January, between 10am and midday. We’d love to welcome you.”
