EAL TRIP TO THE ROMAN BATHS

On the morning of Friday 4 December fourteen students from Years 11 and 12 set off for Bath in the school minibus, together with Mrs Kathryn Crook and Mrs Brenda Schellenberger.

After travelling for two and a half hours we finally arrived. We walked to the Roman Baths, where we were all given handsets to listen to as we made our way round. It was very fortunate that the handsets were in all the native languages of the students, so no-one had the excuse that they didn’t understand why the Baths are there! The students seemed genuinely interested and engaged with what they saw, and plenty of photos were taken along the way.

After spending an hour in the Baths, the students spent a further hour looking around the German Christmas Market that was adjacent. It was full of interesting gifts and idiosyncrasies.

The students learnt a great deal from going round the Baths, and a good day was had by all.
