Boarders' Coasteering and Surfing
At the beginning of the term many of the Trinity Boarders went on a trip to Newquay to participate in a day or water based activities.
Our first activity of the day was Coasteering, which is a mixture of swimming, climbing, scrambling, and traversing the coastline, and when it is safe to do so coasteering also allows you to jump into the sea from height, when offered the chance to jump 40 feet into the sea only a handful of boarders declined and those who did spent the whole day with a smile on their face.
After lunch on Fistral beach we spent the afternoon surfing which many found very difficult at first but with the excellent instructors all of the boarders managed to pop up and ride a wave even in the big surf.
When we had finished our day of water based activities we spent the rest of the evening on the beach enjoying a BBQ and watching the sun set. A truly memorable experience many of the boarders won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
