Confirmation in the Church of England is a moment of great celebration as you publically affirm your Christian faith.

The Chaplain every year invites pupils to come forward for Confirmation into full membership of the Church of England.

Confirmation marks a point in the Christian journey at which pupils affirm for themselves the Christian faith into which they have been baptized and their intention to live a life of committed discipleship.

This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the confirming Bishop (either the Bishop of Exeter, pictured, or the Bishop of Crediton) in a special Confirmation Service which may be held at Trinity School or one of the local Anglican Churches once in each year.

It is therefore important for pupils to prepare well so that they may embrace this moment in their life with a deeper understanding and knowledge of their faith and the Church of England.

The School Chaplain leads a Confirmation course each year for candidtates and seeks to guide and encourage pupils in their preparation for Confirmation.

If you are interested in being Confirmed please feel free to speak to the School Chaplain.
