Clubs & Activities
Trinity School
Trinity’s priority is to ensure that pupils experience a wide and stimulating range
of activities in their time with us. Cultural activities are diverse, creative and
enlightening. Sports and games include both traditional favourites such as rugby
and unusual opportunities such as judo, sailing and, shortly, sea rowing. Leadership
activity offers challenge and the chance for personal growth. Service activities
enable pupils to experience the joy of connecting with the people and community
around them.
We know that not all children will develop into top athletes or musicians. We also
know, however, that all children can find themselves something that they will excel
at and, most importantly, that they will enjoy and take with them into adulthood.
Our aim is, therefore, to offer a wide range of experiences and to support and develop
pupils once they have found those activities that inspire and enthuse them.
Although Trinity is a small school, we succeed in enabling pupils to perform at
the highest level. We have National Champions in athletics and tennis, England squad
players in tennis and basketball, regional winners in a wide range of sports, in
drama, public speaking and music. Past pupils have represented Great Britain in
swimming and fencing. We also have a very large and well regarded Combined Cadet
Force and successful Ten Tors teams. Most importantly, however, we have pupils of
all ages enjoying extra-curricular activities as a natural and meaningful part of
everyday life.
