Off Shore, the successful trading company formed by a group of Year 12 students for this year’s Young Enterprise competition, have once again impressed judges with their business abilities. This time the occasion was the regional final in Swindon. Representing Devon, and competing with other winners of county competitions from all over the West and South West of England, the team were delighted when they came away with the award for the best company report. They also came a narrow second for the quality of their presentation, which is quite an achievement when you have to speak in public, without notes, to an audience of over 200 adults and fellow competitors.
The boys were understandably disappointed not to have won the prize for overall winner as victory would have taken them through to the national final in London later this year. They are undaunted, however, and intend to continue to develop their business. We can’t help feeling that this is not the last we are going to hear of Off Shore……….
In the meantime we congratulate the regional winners who were a team from St Edwards, Cheltenham.
