The headmaster, Mr Lawrence Coen, marked the first day of the summer term with a special ‘Easter Welcome Back Service’, which was attended by all staff and pupils of the Prep and Senior departments together with parents.
Mr Coen began the service with a 'thought for the term' drawing on the Easter story and reflecting on the importance of the vision words in school life. The service included prayers led by 6th former Ben Ashfield and a short reflection by the school chaplain, Revd Jonathon, drawing connections between Lent, Easter and the Real Easter Egg competition through the theme of 'Generosity.'
Revd Jonathon then announced the 12 winners of the Real Easter Eggs which included a wide range of individuals from the Trinity community - pupils, staff and parents.
Pupils and staff sang 'Spirit of the Living Lord' and 'Lord of the Dance' and the chaplain finished the service with a blessing to everyone for the term ahead.
Commenting on the service, Rev’d Jonathon said, ‘It was a lovely positive way to formally welcome all pupils, staff and parents at the beginning of this summer term and to gather together as a school community. It was also an opportunity to reflect on the continuing importance of the Easter story in our lives and to recognise and celebrate those people in our school community who live generous lives."
