Victory at Devon Skiing Championships

11th November 2014

It was a superb turnout by Trinity pupils for the Devon Ski Championships, held over the weekend, with 16 winter sports enthusiasts from both Prep and Senior Departments competing for honours in various age categories - quite a presence in a total field of 80 competitors.

Many of those present commented not only on how many great, ‘can do’ pupils we had, but also on how well they behaved, how they got on together and how they looked out for others, helping with skis etc. So we would like to thank all Trinity competitors for their efforts on the slopes and for their exemplary conduct and attitude.

It turned out to be a fantastic all round performance. There were lots of individual honours, and we emerged with 10 medals overall and no fewer than 4 Devon champions. William Robinson of Prep 3 won the Infants Boys competition; Hannah Greenwood of Year 7 won the Junior Girls contest;  Amity Carr of Year 9 was the Intermediate Girl champion, with Clara Schellenberg running out as winner in the Senior Girls.

We are especially proud to say that Prep won the under 11 for the second successive year.

Our thanks and congratulations go to the whole team.
