Trinity Remembers: Reception and Pre-Prep Remembrance Assembly

17th November 2014

Pre-Prep and Reception classes held their own special Remembrance Assembly in Oakley Hall. The children enjoyed a lovely service led by Reverend Jonathan, our school chaplain, who explained to them the significance of ‘remembering’ at this time of year. Amelie McPhee from Reception class led the Minute's silence by reciting part of Binyon’s line whilst listening to the last post. After sitting beautifully and observing the silence, the children (and parents!) were able to get messy by creating their own Poppy wreath on a special remembrance display board. This involved dipping hands and fingers in red and black paint to make a poppy handprint. The end result was really effective and ensured the children realised the importance of this special flower on Remembrance Day. Mr Lovett
