Prep and Senior students impressed onlookers with their musical talents at this year’s Devon County Show.
This is a high profile event in the regional calendar, and Trinity always has a significant presence. One feature that never fails to impress crowds, as they pass our exhibition, is the programme of musical performances by our pupils. In fact, many regular show attendees often stop by to ask when the performances are to take place so that they don’t miss them!
This year we had excellent contributions from pupils of all ages, including the delightful Prep choir, who sang songs that had brought them so much success at the Torbay festival earlier in the month. There was the Year 10 rock band, The Formula, who played covers of famous tracks by bands such as The Arctic Monkeys. We heard memorable duets and other performances by several students, and in particular a stunning operatic performance by Emma Hawley, with her rendition of Franz Schubert’s Wiegenlied, accompanied by our Head of Music, Rachael Arkell.
Needless to say we’ll be back at the show next year, displaying more of the talents of our students, musical and otherwise.
