Torbay Gospel Choir to perform in Trinity chapel

13th March 2015

On Tuesday 24 March the school will be hosting a concert by the Torbay Gospel Singers.  All members of the school community including pupils, their families, and staff are welcome to attend the event, which will take place in the school chapel, starting at 7.30pm and finishing around 9.00pm. Admission will be free, and so we will not be selling tickets, but donations will be collected and then allocated between the different charities supported by the School and the Choir. Light refreshments will be served in the interval.

The Torbay Gospel Choir (http://www.torbaygospelsingers.co.uk ) describes itself as ‘a group of singers who enjoy performing up-beat Christian Gospel songs.  Most of our music is derived from Afro-American and South African songs about faith, freedom and social justice.  Some of our songs are Gospel favourites and many are our own arrangements. We sing in three-part harmony, both a cappella and with live accompaniment, plus with backing tracks.  Our principal aim is to move our audiences with enthusiastic singing of uplifting songs, which have catchy rhythms, and are fun to listen to as well as sing.’

It promises to be a good evening!
