Life at Trinity for our new Sixth Formers started off with a real bang with two days of personal challenge, team-building and bonding activities and - above all – Fun!
The programme is very effective in quickly integrating our returning Year 11 students and our new intake of Trinitonians. The first day was based in school and after the pleasantries of introductions, the action really started! Students were put into groups and asked to perform a play which introduced every member of the Lower Sixth. The plays were a hilarious mix of Cinderella, a murder mystery and an edge-of-your-seat thriller! Staff and students greatlyenjoyed watching these and during their creation it gave tutors a real chance to get to know their tutees.
The buzz then carried into our annual Induction Day at Finlake Activity Centre, where pupils participated in raft building, water zorbing, archery, fencing, and finished with a competitive orienteering challenge.
At the end of the day a real team bond had been built and this was further evident at the Welcome Disco in the evening. Upper Sixth DJ Robbie Robinson created the sound track as the pupils partied and chatted in preparation to face the challenges of the year ahead together as a cohesive Sixth Form.
