Our Christmas Shoeboxes are on their way to Moldova!

15th December 2015

The School's Harvest Appeal has finally come to a most successful conclusion.

Last Friday Rev'd Jonathon and four pupils from Year 8 delivered 107 shoeboxes to CR2EE (Christian Response To Eastern Europe) in Exmouth.

A further 25 boxes had already been delivered direct from Trinity Nursery bringing the total number of Christmas shoeboxes kindly donated by Trinity School to an amazing 132!

Our boxes join about another 4,000 boxes which this weekend begin their journey by lorry to Moldova.

Revd Jonathon comments “ This is an extraordinary achievement. To donate 132 boxes way exceeded my – and I know others' - expectations. Our boxes are going to make a real difference to the lives of children and their families facing poverty in Moldova this Christmas. I want to thank everyone who has got involved in the project – staff, pupils and parents. Well done also to Year 8 and their form tutors for leading and coordinating the appeal. It felt important that we should deliver the boxes to CR2EE in Exmouth because it meant that we had completed the first leg of their journey to the people in Moldova who will receive them on Christmas Day. I feel incredibly proud of the generosity and kindness shown by the Trinity School Community.”

The Prep Department will have a special assembly on Monday 7th December led by Mr Hugh Scudder of CR2EE who will be talking about the work of the charity and thanking everyone for all of their hard work.
