Fun at the ISA Pre-Prep Sports Festival

5th May 2015

A group of pupils from Prep 1 & 2 made up the Under 7 squad for our inaugural trip to the ISA Pre-Prep sports festival.

The athletes had a particularly early start having to leave school at 6.30 am as they had a 3 hour journey to Ballard School, Hampshire ahead of them. Spirits were high during the journey although some of the team were struggling with the winding roads along the way! When  we arrived the children were raring to go and took part in a range of adapted games that tested their skills in rugby, hockey, cricket, netball, rounders and athletics.

The main aim of the festival was for the children to have fun and learn, although there were medals available for the winners. One Trinity team and a team from the host school had been neck and neck all day with the hosts just edging it in the final activity. All in all, a really fun and successful day was had with our teams earning 2nd and 4th place. Remarkably the children maintained their high levels of energy on the trip home and the sports tea helped to steady the stomachs! Well done to all the children involved. SL
