Trinity School is delighted to be taking part in a new community initiative in Teignmouth. We have recently been working in partnership with Our Lady and Saint Patrick’s School and other faith communities in the town in order to set up a new group called ‘Cake and Conversation.’
The first meeting of this group will take place on Tuesday 20th September (10am - 11.30am) at The Studio, Teignmouth Pavillions. The group will then meet on Tuesdays at the same time (10am) on 27th September, 4th October and after half term on the 8th, 15th and 22nd November.
It is an opportunity in a busy week for friendship and a moment of calm and reflection. To help with this, there will be supervised play for small people.
Refreshments are provided and everyone is very welcome.
Commenting on this new initiative our School Chaplain, Revd Jonathon said, “The key idea behind this new group is to gift some space and time to busy parents so that there is an opportunity to talk and reflect over a drink and a piece of cake. We hope that the group will provide some breathing space and that it will be ‘life giving’ for those that come and enable people to make connections with each other. As a parent myself I know the value of sharing with others how things are going and often we are then able to encourage and support each other. Our hope is that the group will grow in time and will provide a regular opportunity for parents to pause for a bit. How important that is in our noisy busy lives!”
