6th October 2014
During the school holidays three valiant members of the PE Department and 20 intrepid Year 10, 11 and 12 students set off for a week-long trip of adventurous activities in Wales. Staying at Poppit Sands Youth Hostel, near Cardigan on the West coast of Wales, the youngsters enjoyed cycling, kayaking, a day at a theme park and water park and, probably their favourite activity, coasteering which included a 35ft jump into the lagoon. The group then moved on to Snowdonia in North Wales where they experienced the newly opened Zip World, 'flying' at approximately 90mph 900ft above a mine quarry on the longest zip wire in Europe! That was only for starters; this was followed by white water rafting, capture the flag, Mr Larkman's 'performance' on the Segway and their chance to shoot Mrs Couch and Mr Larkman at paintball!
A great time was had by all, and if you would like to witness some of the action for yourself, then click below for a link to the video that captures their week of fun.
