The Oktoberfest Quiz and Games night is a regular feature in the 6th Form social calender and a big favourite with students.
This year the Salle was transformed by Mrs Fischer and her team of 6th Formers into a genuine Oktoberfest marquee. Quiz teams, organised by Emily Ware, our Head Girl and Social Prefect, competed in 9 rounds of questions with several games organised by the Prefect Team. Old favourites like Fluffy Bunnies Marshmallow Challenge and the Cereal Box pick-up game tested the flexibility of the contestants.
Fun and laughter was supported by a wonderful spread of Bavarian delights including fresh Pretzels sourced from an authentic German baker in Chudleigh - thank you Mrs Fischer for going the extra mile to collect these. We also had open sandwiches deliciously prepared by our Trinity kitchen team, German sausages and snacks.
The winning quiz team was "50 shades of Something" who won by a narrow margin. A great evening was finished off with karaoke which had everyone on their feet. The repertoire included Britney Spears Toxic (by the boys!), Mr Milne's version of Green Day's Basket Case, Abba, and of course some Frozen! The evening was a great success with students and staff enjoying themselves. Thanks to all who made it possible, especially Mrs Brown, Mrs Fischer, Emily and her team of helpers.
