Extra-curricular activities and positions of responsibility

There are a vast number of extra-curricular activities that sixth formers can take part in at Trinity.  Essential to personal development, as well as securing places at university for competitive courses, extra-curricular activities are an important part of sixth form life.  There are U-18 sports teams with regular fixtures and external coaches provide high quality support.  In addition to sport, there is drama, music, debating, community service, current affairs, dance and outdoor activities.  There is a tradition of accessing local community facilities in addition to on-site provision.  There is a thriving CCF at Trinity and students can take part in Ten Tors and complete their Duke of Edinburgh awards.  Student success is celebrated in the Sixth Form magazine, written, edited and published by sixth formers.

The prefect team, led by the Heads of School, develop leadership and teamwork skills whilst providing an invaluable service to their community.  There are various committees, headed up by Senior Prefects, with responsibility for the excellent peer mentoring system, raising money for charities, organising social events, looking after the sixth form centre, boarding, cross-phase links and communication.  Becoming a prefect is an honour and carries various privileges beyond those enjoyed by all the sixth form.
